About
Derek Chien is a Canadian award-winning architectural photographer and design consultant based in Hong Kong.
He holds a Master of Architecture degree from the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto.
His experience in the business of consumer branding and corporate identity includes work at Interbrand, FutureBrand, and Studio Dumbar.
He has also previously taught visual communications design at the University of Toronto and is an architecture guest critic at several Hong Kong academic institutions.
Inspiration
Derek has travelled extensively to various countries in search of modern architectural landmarks and man-made wonders.
His favourite destinations include the beautiful Basque Country, the crisp Scandinavian capitals, and the ever-evolving Shanghai megalopolis.
